Q: What are your qualifications?

A: I’ve been helping grow local businesses for two decades and writing copy for clients for over ten years. I have a cadre of clients in the alternative health industry, as well as many outside that niche.

I’ve completed more than ten specialty courses at the American Writers and Artists Institute (AWAI), the industry leader in copywriter training.

In addition, I’ve completed half a dozen of Glazer-Kennedy Insider’s Circle’s marketing, copywriting, and consulting courses. That’s in addition to various other courses and too many seminars to count.

I’ve also spent time selling eyeball-to-eyeball, selling high ticket items like residential real estate and life insurance. My years of experiencein sales and education allowed me to glean unique insights into buyer psychology that enhances my copywriting skills

Q: Have you received any awards?
A: In 2010, I earned the highly coveted AWAI Spec Award, which was presented at the annual AWAI Bootcamp.

Q: What types of copywriting projects do you write?

A: About 95% of my writing is direct response copy for online platforms… primarily sales letters, multi-part email campaigns with landing pages, squeeze pages, and website copy.

I also write brochures, case studies, package inserts, and more.

My clients appreciate my ability to write clearly and concisely, even about technical matters.

They also appreciate that I understand how each piece of copy fits into their bigger marketing plan, and that I have the ability to discuss and brainstorm ideas with anyone, from executives and marketing managers to sales people, designers, and printers.

What’s more, my copy gets results. For one of my clients, I wrote more than a dozen online controls that have been running for over five years.

I wrote another sales letter for the hyper-competitive weight loss niche, and it has also been a control for five years. My client was extremely pleased with the results it got for them, compared to their previous control.

Q: Do you offer consulting services?

Q: What does it cost to hire you to write copy?

A: Each project is unique, and fees vary based on the demands of the project. My fees are in line with industry standards documented by surveys.

Before I begin any project – or even quote you a fee – I want to get to know your company, time frame, requirements, and hoped-for results, as well as the role the project plays in your overall marketing goals and mission.

You will always be charged a flat fee, not an hourly rate. That way, there’s never any surprise or anxiety on your part about how much it will cost. If I under-estimate the amount of time it takes to complete the project, it’s my loss, not yours.

Q: Who are your clients, and what do they say about your copy and strategy?

A: I have a long list of alternative health clients, including Mercola.com, Cancer Defeated, Agora, PeerTrainer, and RealDose. Plus, I have many additional clients around the globe in other industries.

Q: How long will it take to complete my project?

A: That depends on the scope of the project.

In an ideal world, I prefer to have two to three weeks for direct response copywriting projects. That gives me adequate time to write, edit, and revise till I’m pleased with the finished product.

But I realize that we live in the real world, and that we don’t always have that much time to work with.

If it’s a rush project, please be sure to inform me when we first start discussing it. If I give it the green light, it will be done by our agreed-upon date… if not sooner.

Regardless of the deadline, your copy will be done right. You can depend on it.

Q: What if we want you to revise the copy?

A: Want something improved? No problem. A set of revisions is included in the flat fee for the project… As long as you inform me about requested revisions within 30 days of receiving your project, and the revisions are not based on changes to the assignment or initial agreed-upon direction.

My clients rarely request anything more than a few minor tweaks. But if you aren’t satisfied, I’ll revise the copy according to your specific guidelines.

Q: How do we start working together?

A: It’s easy to get started.

First, I’ll need to know what you’re selling, and who your target market is. Give me all the relevant background information about your product or service and your prospect… including brochures, catalogs, previous sales letters, and anything else that will help me better understand your situation.

When you give me the green light and provide all background materials, I’ll start working on your project. You will receive your copy on or before our agreed-upon deadline. Please note that a delay in getting background materials could delay your finished copy.
